맥프로 5.1 .. 2010년에 나온 타워형 맥프로 최종모델은 2009년 모델과 같은 칩셋을 사용한 탓에 펌웨어만 교체하면 간단하게 다른 하드웨어도 동시 업그레이드가 가능하다.

예를 들면 높은 클럭의 메모리, 네할렘코어의 씨퓨를 웨스트미어 코어로 변경 한다던가..


Mac Pro 2009-2010 Firmware Tool 만 실행하면 펌웨어 업그레이드와 다운그레이드 모두 가능하다.

5570 에러가 발생하는 사람은 첨부된 2010 맥프로를 위한 EFI 업데이트를 마운트시킨 후 다시 실행해보시길.

EFI업데이트는 하지 않고 .dmg파일만 마운트 하면 된다.

지포스 GTX 680 맥프로용으로 플래싱

준비물

1. EVGA GTX 680 Mac Edition 에서 백업된 롬파일 (Mac Edition 에 있던 바이오스는 OSX 부팅 화면에서도 출력되도록 해주는 역할입니다.)

gtx680mac.rom.bin

2. nvflash (그래픽카드의 롬을 백업/복원 하기위한 프로그램)

nvflash 5.206.0.1 

3. Windows 기반의 컴퓨터 또는 부트캠프가 설치된 맥프로


순서

1. 그래픽카드를 Windows 가 구동 가능한 컴퓨터에 설치하고 부팅한뒤 cmd.exe 를 실행하여 콘솔 화면을 띄운다. (관리자권한)

2. 아래 커맨드를 입력하여 원본 바이오스를 백업한다.

nvflash -b gtx680.rom

3. 아래 커맨드를 입력하여 Mac Edition 의 롬파일로 플래싱한다.

nvflash -5 -6 gtx680mac.rom

4. 두번의 질문은 Y(yes) 를 응답한다.

5. 맥프로에 옮겨 설치를 하거나 부트캠프라면 재부팅하면 된다. 끝


잔소리

* Mac OS 10.8.x 이상인 경우 드라이버의 설치 없이 사용할 수 있다.

* CUDA 를 위한 드라이버는 추가설치 필요.

* 롬 플래싱을 하지 않아도 부팅화면이 안보일뿐 OSX는 정상동작한다.

Windows server 2003 is the fastest windows os to install on the dell mini 9. All the drivers work from the dell website. The VGA and WLAN have to be manually installed. Just go to "Control panel""System""Hardware""Device manager" manually update driver from driver source file. For the webcam, just go online and download the latest Bison webcam utility and that's it.
If you want to set it up to run like xp. Here is a guide that I use.
How to set up Windows server 2003

The first thing you should do is disable the Manage Your Server window,
you don't want it nagging you everytime you boot up Windows do you?
Simply tick the box "Don't display this page at logon".
You can access it later via Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Manage Your Server.

Next go to start> run> type "control userpasswords2" enter.
Unclick the box that requires users to enter a password.

To remove Internet Explorer's Enhanced Security Configuration, we will need to do this via Add or Remove Programs.
Go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components ->
and then scroll down until you see Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration.
Click on Details and uncheck both boxes as shown in the screenshot to the left. Click OK and OK!

Let's start with enabling the Hardware acceleration on our graphics card.
Simply right click anywhere on your desktop and select Properties -> Settings tab -> Advanced -> and finally, the Troubleshoot tab.

Now move the Hardware acceleration slider across to Full


Go to Start -> Run -> and type Services.msc followed by enter.
The Services window will appear, scroll down until you find "Windows Audio".
Double click on Windows Audio -> and change the startup type to Automatic -> then Apply -> Start -> OK

We will need to go back into Services to enable the Themes Services.
Go to Start -> Run -> and type Services.msc followed by enter.
Scroll down until you find "Themes", now double click on Themes -> change the startup type to Automatic -> Apply -> Start -> OK.
Now close the Services window.


If you have a Camera, Webcam or Scanner, follow these instructions:

Go to Start -> Run -> and type in Services.msc and scroll down until you find the "Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) ",
double click on Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) and select startup type Automatic -> Apply -> Start -> OK.



Let's go into Performance Options and change the performance settings for processor and memory resources.
Here's how to get there:

Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Advanced tab.
Change Processor scheduling to Programs and lastly, change Memory usage to Programs. Now click on OK.

If you're still at the System Properties Window, you might want to disable Error Reporting.
Click on Error Reporting -> and then choose Disable Error Reporting -> and tick But, notify me when critical errors occur.

Dell Mini 9 Drivers for OSX 10.5.6 (MSIWindosx86)

MSIWindosx86을 이용해서 Dell Mini 9에 osx를 설치한 경우 10.5.6까지 (현제) 업데이트가 가능하다. 하지만 업데이트를 한 이후에는 각 드라이버들을 다시 설치해주어야 하는데 그 드라이버 모음을 올려놓는다. 출처는 델미니까페의 양념개장님이 올려주신 파일에 SDHC드라이버를 직접 포함시켜놓았음.

ps: 업데이트를 위해 SSD용량확보가 필요한 경우에는 sleep파일을 삭제하는 방법으로 1기가 이상을 확보할수있다.

미나에 OSX 사용자분들 대부분 용량 압박에 힘들어하시던데요..

슬림 이미지만 제거하면 단박에 2기가 정도를 확보하실 수 있습니다.

OSX는 설치시에 자동으로 잠자기용 슬립 이미지를 만들게 되는데요,

기본 8기가 SSD에서는 잠자기 모드를 지원하지 않으니 아래 방법으로 슬립 이미지를 지워주시면 좀 더 넉넉한 환경을 만드실 수 있게 됩니다. ^^

 

1. Finder를 실행시킨 후에 '이동' -> '유틸리티' 메뉴를 선택해 유틸리티 설치 디렉토리로 이동합니당(메뉴가 영문인 분들은 알아서 해석을 ^^;)..

 

2. 설치된 유틸리티 중 '터미널'을 실행시켜 터미널 창을 띄웁니다.

 

3. 그리고 다음 명령을 차례대로 실행시켜 슬립 이미지를 지웁니다.. 이때 password를 물어보면 자신의 계정 비밀번호를 입력하시면 됩니다.

 

sudo pmset hibernatemode 0
sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage

 

4. 잠자기 모드를 사용하지 않으려면 다음 명령을 한번 더 실행시켜주세요.

 

sudo pmset -a disablesleep 1

 

명령 후 아주 넉넉해진 용량을 확인하실 수 있습니다. ^^

Drivers for OSX (Dell Inspiron Mini 9)

기본적으로 대부분의 하드웨어는 MSIWindosx86 설치시 동작하고

USB의 경우 Apple Update를 통해서 10.5.5로 바로 업데이트하면 정상동작한다.

이렇게까지 했음에도 드라이버를 못잡는 사운드와 그래픽카드와 무선랜은 따로 설치한다.

주의! 첨부된 파일은 osx에서 압축된 파일이니 windows에서는 정상적으로 압축이 풀리지 않을수 있습니다.

무선랜카드 드라이버는 터미널창을 열고 sudo 라고 친 뒤 bcm43xx_enabler.sh 파일을 터미널창에 드래그 하면 path가 화면에 복사된다. 그 뒤 엔터를 치면 관리자 비밀번호를 묻고, 비밀번호 입력한뒤 엔터 4번이면 설치 완료. 다시 시작한다.

사운드와 그래픽은 설치파일 실행만으로 설치된다. 물론 다시 시작해야 적용된다.

그래픽 드라이버는 vga 출력이 해결된 버전이다.
